Purpose and Activities

Giving primarily to promote public awareness of social philosophy and economic reforms.

Incorporated in 1925 in NY - The foundation was established to teach the social and economic philosophy of Henry George, especially his views concerning the single tax on land values and international free trade, primarily through publication of books and other forms of educational work, including research and policy-oriented projects. The foundation funds research projects that deepen understanding of how Georgist principles are connected with issues and debates in the social science or humanities disciplines. Policy-oriented projects should demonstrate how Georgist philosophy yields practical results in a variety of policy settings
