Incorporated in 1958 in NY - Founded by the late Billy Rose who was a Broadway producer, lyricist, and impresario who is credited with many famous songs throughout the 1920s and 1930s, including "Me and My Shadow," "It Happened in Monterey," and "It's Only a Paper Moon." In the 1930s and 1940s, Mr. Rose was also a driving force behind such shows as "Jumbo," "Billy Rose's Aquacade," and "Carmen Jones." From 1959-1979, Broadway's currently named Nederlander Theatre had been named the Billy Rose Theatre. Billy Rose has been inducted as a member of the Songwriter's Hall of Fame.
