Purpose and Activities

Support within four major program categories: 1) Civic and community, including programs which enhance the environment, address the needs of minorities and the physically disabled, and/or promote good government and human relations; 2) Cultural organizations, especially projects which seek to expand audience access or educate new audiences through outreach activities; 3) Educational improvement and reform at the precollegiate level, especially early childhood education, tutoring, at-risk intervention, and in-job training and re-training; and 4) Health and human services, including wellness programs, community-based health care delivery, youth, family planning, or geriatric services, mental health, physical rehabilitation and shelter care services.
