Purpose and Activities

The foundation supports neglected, abused, and underprivileged children by providing tools and opportunities to build self-esteem and encourage a better family unit giving hope for a brighter future.


Established in 2001 in IL - Founded by the late Walter Payton, who was a football player with the National Football League's Chicago Bears. He was known around the NFL as "Sweetness" and admired as one of the most prolific running backs in the history of American football. Payton, a nine-time Pro Bowl selection, once held the League’s record for most career rushing yards, touchdowns, carries, and many other categories. He was elected into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1993. Payton passed away on November 1, 1999 from a rare liver disease.
