Purpose and Activities

Support for organizations demonstrating or developing pre-collegiate educational restructuring; support projects which reinforce the centrality of the arts in pre-collegiate curricula. The foundation also has an interest in projects seeking to sustain the earth's biodiversity. K-12 math and science, arts-in-education: grants are limited to the New York, NY, metropolitan area.


Established in 2005 in NY - The foundation was formed in Jan., 2005, by the merger of two foundations, The Bay Foundation (established in 1950) and the Josephine Bay Paul and C. Michael Paul Foundation (established in 1962). For over 20 years, both foundations operated as sister organizations
