Purpose and Activities

The M. J. Murdock Charitable Trust seeks to enrich the quality of life in the Pacific Northwest by providing grants and enrichment programs to non-profit organizations that seek to strengthen the region's educational, spiritual, and cultural base in creative and sustainable ways.


Trust established in 1975 in WA - Founded in the name of the late M.J. Murdock. The charitable trust was created under the will of the late Melvin Jack (MJ) Murdock, a resident of Vancouver, Washington and co-founder and chairman of Tektronix, Inc. It was funded by the transfer of assets from the Murdock estate on June 30, 1975
