Purpose and Activities

The foundation supports music education and its many benefits through grants of musical instruments, the donation and repair of musical instruments to underserved schools, community music programs and individual students nationwide.


Established in 1996 in DE - Founded by the late Michael Kamen, a composer who was nominated for Academy Awards for Best Original Song in 1991 and 1995; in addition, he scored music for the films "Brazil" (1985), "The Adventures of Baron Munchausen" (1988), "Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves" (1991), "Mr. Holland's Opus" (1995), and "The Iron Giant" (1999).
