Purpose and Activities

Giving to improve the lives of people with serious mental illness by investing in innovative projects in Northeast Ohio having national transformational impact .

Established in 2001 in OH - The Margaret Clark Morgan Foundation was founded in 2001 in Hudson, Ohio, as a private grantmaking foundation. Margaret Clark Morgan's husband, Burton D. Morgan, provided the initial donation that established the foundation. Since its founding, the foundation has steadfastly kept its sights on fulfilling the interests of its founder and Chairman Emeritus, a longtime Hudson resident, active community member and compassionate advocate of change. Margaret "Peg" Clark Morgan was both the compass and conscience of the foundation that bears her name, always guiding its thinking and challenging convention. Peg generously contributed both time and treasure to causes important to her, most notably mental health, education and the arts. Thus, the foundation's primary focus of support is the mental health field, with secondary interest in education and the arts. The foundation acts as social entrepreneurs, creating measurable social impact with its grant investment dollars. The foundation is dedicated to making an impact in the key areas of mental health in Northeast Ohio, education in Summit and Portage counties, and the arts in Summit County.
