Purpose and Activities

The foundation's mission is to integrate people with disabilities into all aspects of American life. Current priorities include, but are not limited to: consumer-focused initiatives that enable people with disabilities to lead fulfilling, independent lives; innovative policy research and education on market-based approaches to health care and rehabilitation; improving and expanding quality health services, especially palliative care, and education and training of allied health and rehabilitation professionals.


Established in 1995 in NY; converted through an affiliation between the ICD International Center for the Disabled and the New York Hospital-Cornell Medical Center Network.
