The foundation awards monetary assistance to promising young singers to help them further their careers in opera and the concert stage through a yearly competition.


Established in 1990 in NY - Founded by the late George London, an opera singer whose roles include Pater Profundis in Gustav Mahler's "Eighth Symphony," Amfortas in Richard Wagner's "The Flying Dutchman," and Wotan in Wagner's "Der Ring des Nibelungen." From 1975 to 1977, he was general director of the Washington Opera
