Purpose and Activities

As the U.S. affiliate of the King Hussein Foundation, the foundation supports programs for community development in education, leadership, health, democracy, peace and the environment.


Established in 1999 in NY - Founded in the name of the late King Hussein of Jordan, who became King of Jordan in 1952, and remained so until his death in 1999. As King of Jordan, he participated in the Six-Day War of 1967, allying with Egypt and Syria against Israel. In 1994, he helped broker the Israel-Jordan Treaty of Peace
