The foundation funds public charities with missions related to: 1) Improving the lives of individuals who through physical, mental or socio-economic disadvantages are unable to help themselves, including a) services for the developmentally handicapped; b) services for homeless individuals and families; c) services for veterans; d) hospice care and services for the elderly; and e) alcoholism and substance abuse; 2) Promoting self-sufficiency through educational programs and projects, including technical training programs; and 3) Community development projects impacting education, health care and the arts. Whenever practical, the foundation will consider capital campaign contributions in order to enhance the long-term impact of grant making.
