Background
Incorporated in 1964 in IL - Founded by Hugh M. Hefner, founder and Chief Creative Officer of Playboy Enterprises and Editor-in-Chief of Playboy Magazine. In 1953, Hefner and his associates founded "Playboy," an American men's magazine containing adult content including nude photography of women. The first undated issue of "Playboy" featured Marilyn Monroe from her 1949 calendar shoot. Today, Playboy Enterprises is a major distributor of entertainment through films, magazines, adult cable television networks, radio and the internet.
