The foundation works to raise public awareness about the value of echocardiography, and to help make echocardiography available to those who might not otherwise be able to afford it.

Turiaf is currently a center with the Minnesota Timberwolves; previously, he played for the Yakama Sun Kings, the Los Angeles Lakers, the Golden State Warriors, the New York Kicks, the ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne, the Washington Wizards, and the Miami Heat.
