Purpose and Activities

The foundation is dedicated to creating opportunities for economically disadvantaged youth and it provides grants for after-school initiatives, leadership development, mentoring programs and minority higher education assistance. .


Established in 2005 in LA - Founded by James Larnell "Shack" Harris and Doug Williams. Shack Harris is a former American and National Football League quarterback and was named Pro Bowl MVP in 1974. In May 2003, Sports Illustrated named Harris the 36th most influential minority person in sports. Doug Williams is a former National Football League quarterback. He was named Super Bowl XXII MVP playing for the Washington Redskins and is currently the head football coach for the Grambling State University Tigers. The foundation also established the Black College Football Hall of Fame
