Purpose and Activities

Grants for civic affairs and community planning, social service and youth agencies, a community fund, the arts, higher education, and health. Giving restricted to organizations supported by Mr. Grundy during his lifetime.

Established in 1961 in PA - Founded in the name of the late Joseph R. Grundy, who was a businessman active in the civic affairs of Bucks County and Pennsylvania, and who eventually served in the United States Senate. Grundy's heart always remained true to the Bristol Borough community in which he lived, so upon the Senator's death in 1961, his Last Will & Testament established The Grundy Foundation, which carried on his tradition of giving back to his community by directing that the family home, situated along the banks of the Delaware River in Bristol Borough, become a museum of local history.
