Giving primarily to ensure that every Colombian child can exercise their right to a quality education in Colombia.
Background
Established in 1995 - Founded by Shakira Isabel Mebarak, a Colombian-born singer and musician. Shakira became famous throughout South America in the mid-1990s for her album "Pies Descalzos" and "Donde Estan Los Ladrones?" In 2001, she released her first English-language album "Laundry Service," which reached number three on the Billboard 200 Albums chart. She won a Grammy Award in 2001 for Best Latin Pop Album and one in 2006 for Best Latin Rock/Alternative Album. She is also the recipient of numerous Latin Grammy Awards.
