Established in 1991 - Fundacja Na Rzecz Nauki Polskiej was created in 1990, and was officially registered in 1991. Its statutory capital of 95 million zlotys was provided by the National Treasury from the assets of the Central Fund for the Development of Science and Technology, which was liquidated at that time.
