Purpose and Activities

The purpose of the foundation is to promote Cessna, Italy in the fields of education, arts, scientific research, local development and public housing.

Established in 1992 in Italy - Cassa di Risparmio di Cesena was created in 1842 on the initiative of 105 citizens of the town of Cesena. Its mission was to boost local entrepreneurship and to allow the poorer sectors of the population to have access to saving and credit. With the reform of the Italian banking sector in the 1990s, a new separate body, Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Cesena, was charged with the Bank’s philanthropic activities. According to its statute, the foundation’s main areas of intervention are scientific research, education, art, preservation and valorization of cultural and environmental goods, healthcare and social assistance, the promotion of sports activities among young people and local economic development. The foundation often operates side by side with other institutions and public and private bodies, carrying a significant role in local development.
