The association works to mobilize the entertainment industry in educating people about environmental issues which, in turn, inspires them to take action.
Established in 1989 in CA - Founded by Cindy and Alan Horn, and Lyn and Norman Lear. Mr. Horn is currently the chairman of Walt Disney Studios and is a director of Univision. Mr. Lear is a television writer and producer who has worked on such shows as "All in the Family," "Sanford and Son," "Maude," "Good Times," "The Jeffersons," "One Day at a Time," "Diff'rent Strokes," "The Facts of Life," and "Who's the Boss?" He was inducted into the Television Academy Hall of Fame in 1984, and had a National Medal of Arts conferred onto him in 1999 by then-president Bill Clinton. In 1981 Lear went on to found People For the American Way, a prominent civil liberties organization
