Purpose and Activities

The foundation seeks to promote the growth of organized philanthropy that enriches the quality of life in the Sequim-Dungeness Valley region by: 1) serving as a leader, catalyst and resource for philanthropy; 2) providing flexible and cost effective ways for donors to benefit non-profit organizations; 3) making strategic grants in animal welfare, arts and culture, education and youth, environment and conservation, and health and human services; 4) building endowments to help meet future community needs; 5) bringing together community leaders and constituencies to help identify and solve community problems in a creative, sensitive and timely manner; and 6) providing technical support, funding referrals, grants management and other services to donors, non-profit organizations and the community at large.
