The organization strives to provide a continuous lifeline of nutritious food and human company to homebound elderly New Yorkers in need, thereby helping them to live with dignity in their own familiar homes and communities.

Established in 1981 in NY - Founded by professional food writers Gael Greene and James Beard. Ms. Greene serves as food editor of New York Magazine, and appeared as a judge on the reality television series "Top Chef Masters" in 2009 and 2010. The late Mr. Beard is recognized as an expert on traditional French cuisine, and established the influential James Beard Cooking School in 1955.
