Purpose and Activities

The foundation assists non-profit organizations related to youth, arts and culture, and agriculture.

Established in CA - Founded by Sally Hughes Church, who was born on August 18, 1931. She studied drama at San Francisco State. In 1959, she helped create the White Oaks Theatre in Carmel, CA. Soon after, she learned she was suffering from multiple sclerosis, a disease that would eventually leave her partially paralyzed. Because of the disease, she understood what it was like to have a dream just out of reach, but she also experienced the joy of achieving a dream through the kindness and generosity of strangers. By creating and funding her foundation, she was able to put other's dreams within their reach. Ms. Hughes' health deteriorated slowly until her death on Mar. 28, 1995, at the age of 73.
