Established in 2005 in NY - Founded by Leon H. Charney, a predominant figure in the world of politics. Mr. Charney was counsel and advisor to Senator Vance Hartke of Indiana, and within six years of working for Senator Hartke, Charney established a relationship with Israeli Prime Minister, Golda Meir who asked for Charney's help in the freeing of Soviet Jewish dissidents. His involvement brought about the successful emigration of 1,000 Jews from the Soviet Union to Israel. From 1976 to 1980 Charney served as advisor to President Jimmy Carter on the Camp David Accords. In 1986 Mr. Charney traveled secretly to Tunisia to meet with Yasser Arafat, a meeting which became one of the first entrees into the possible peaceful resolution of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Mr. Charney also moderated "The Leon Charney Report," an award winning nationally televised public affairs program. He has also authored three books, "Special Counsel," "Spy For Peace" and "The Charney Report: Confronting the Arab-Israeli Conflict."
