Purpose and Activities

The foundation invests in community development through financial organizations working in urban and rural communities by making loans to those groups that will re-lend the money to individuals or fund projects in their respective communities; supported programs include low-income housing funds, community development funds, community development banks and credit unions, international intermediaries working in developing countries, and microenterprise funds.
