Purpose and Activities

The foundation is dedicated to providing more opportunities for kids to play the game of hockey.


Established in 1984 in MN - Founded in the name of the late Herb Brooks, the coach of the 1980 U.S. Olympic Hockey team. That team is remembered for its "Miracle on Ice," when it upset the USSR National Hockey Team in the semifinals of the 1980 Winter Olympic hockey tournament. They went on and won the gold medal in the event. In 2006, Mr. Brooks was posthumously inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame
