Purpose and Activities

Giving primarily to encourage and fund programs designed to improve educational achievements, standard of living and quality of life conditions for low-income Bay Area youth. The foundation also began the Link 'n Learn program to connect parents, children, schools and neighborhoods with tutoring services and interactive educational technology.


Established in CA - Founded by Barry Bonds, a former MLB outfielder who played for the Pittsburgh Pirates from 1986-1992 and for the San Francisco Giants from 1993-2007. He won seven Most Valuable Player awards, including four consecutive Most Valuable Player Awards in 2001-2004. He is a fourteen-time All-Star and eight-time Gold Glove winner. Bonds holds the all-time Major League Baseball home run record with 762 and the single-season Major League record for home runs with 73.
