Established in 2005 in CA - Founded by James Eugene "Jim" Carrey, an actor and comedian who came to prominence for his role as the title character in the 1994 movie "Ace Venture: Pet Detective," which pulled in $159,537,178 domestically and over $400 million worldwide. His starring role in the 1995 sequel "Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls," led to higher-profile roles such as Stanley Ipkiss in "The Mask," for which he gained a Golden Globe Award nomination for Best Actor in a Motion Picture Musical or Comedy, and as Lloyd Christmas in the 1994 cult comedy film "Dumb and Dumber." In addition to starring in "The Cable Guy" and "Liar Liar," his starring roles in "The Truman Show" in 1998 and "Man on the Moon" in 1999 earned Carrey a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor in a Motion Picture Drama and the Golden Globe Award for Best Actor in a Motion Picture Musical or Comedy, respectively. In Mr. Carrey's words, he founded Better U "...So that I might continue to expand my awareness of what people need, to relieve or prevent suffering where possible and offer the kind of assistance that allows someone to grow toward independence and self actualization."
