Purpose and Activities

The foundation provides charitable funds for helping disadvantaged youth in the areas of education and wellness by teaching them how to overcome poverty and peer pressure while reinforcing positive behaviors through incentive-based programming.


Established in 2010; donor-advised fund of the Edward Charles Foundation - Founded by professional football players Marlin Jackson, Antoine Bethea, and Melvin Bullitt. Mr. Jackson last played safety for the Philadelphia Eagles; from 2005 to 2009, he played for the Indianapolis Colts. Mr. Bethea is currently a safety for the San Francisco 49ers; in 2007 and 2009, he was selected to play in the Pro Bowl. Mr. Bullitt is a retired defensive back who last played for the Indianapolis Colts. With the Colts, both Mr. Jackson and Mr. Bethea won Super Bowl XLI in 2006.
