Established in 1963 in CA - Founded by the late Edgar and Frances Bergen. Edgar Bergen was an actor, radio performer and ventriloquist. He was well known for his ventriloquist act with his puppet Charlie McCarthy. Frances Bergen, his wife, was an actress and the model for "the Chesterfield Girl" and "the Ipana Girl" advertisements. She was professionally known as Frances Westcott. Candice Bergen, their daughter, is an actress, well known for her starring role in the television sitcom "Murphy Brown."
