Purpose and Activities

The Baton Rouge Area Foundation unites human and financial resources to enhance the quality of life in Southern Louisiana.


Incorporated in 1964 in LA - The foundation serves eight parishes in South Central Louisiana, which make up the greater Baton Rouge area. The foundation manages over 300 charitable funds totaling more than $450 million in assets. The foundation is governed by directors who are appointed for three-year terms. Members may serve two consecutive terms after which they must rotate off for at least one year
