Purpose and Activities

The association provides grants to enable Bainbridge Island residents to join delegations to Ometepe Island on Lake Nicaragua, and to enable their residents to visit Bainbridge. It promotes friendship and mutual understanding between the residents of the islands through peaceful exchanges of all sorts. It aims to support educational, technical, and cultural exchange; and promote understanding of the special problems faced by the people of Nicaragua.
