Purpose and Activities
The association advances the field of moving image archiving by fostering cooperation among individuals and organizations concerned with the aquisition, preservation, exhibition and use of moving image materials. These goals are achieved by providing a regular means of exchanging information, encouraging public awareness of moving image preservation, promoting moving image archival activities, developing and promoting professional standards as well as stimulating and facilitating research on archival matters.
