The institute increases the legitimacy and visibility of nonprofit scholarship; encourages new investments in sector research; supports the exploration of tough, neglected questions; and enlarges the number of creative scholars and practitioners pursuing nonprofit studies.
Background
Established in 1949 in CO - Founded by the late Walter Paepcke, who was the chairman of the Container Corporation of America. Mr. Paepcke also founded the Aspen Skiing Company, which was instrumental in helping turn Aspen, CO into a major resort area
