Established in 1989 in the UK - Founded in the name of the late Sir Ove Arup who was a leading Anglo-Danish engineer, and founder of Arup, an internationally known planning, engineering, design, and consulting firm which is known for such building projects as the Sydney Opera House in Australia, The London Eye, CCTV Headquarters in Beijing, China, and the Tappan Zee Bridge in New York. Sir Ove was considered to have been one of the foremost engineers of his time, and the foundation was created by his firm in his memory
