Purpose and Activities

The purpose of the Foundation is to support scientific research on narcotics and alcohol use as an individual and social problem by funding scientific research and travel, publishing scholarly books, and by organizing seminars.


Established in 1950 - The Finnish Foundation for Alcohol Studies was established in 1950. It is funded mainly by the State of Finland and the Alko retail alcohol monopoly.
