Purpose and Activities

The purpose of the foundation is to promote arts and education, preserve the artistic and educational estate of Carl Orff and protect and disseminate his intellectual and artistic legacy.


Established in 1984 - Founded in the name of the late Carl Orff, who was a composer and educator, and man of the theater, best known for his cantata "Carmina Burana" and for developing the Orff-Schulwerk, an approach widely used in elemental education in music and movement.
