Chart Grants Screen

The Chart Grants Screen is used to chart the distribution of recently awarded grants specific to a particular grantmaker. Professional subscribers can access the Chart Grants Screen by clicking the Chart Grants Tab from within a grantmaker record. The default chart view is by Recipient Type for all fiscal years available. To change the chart view parameters, click the check boxes of the fiscal years you want to include and the chart will refresh automatically. To change the chart view parameters from Recipient Type to Primary Subject, click the Primary Subject tab.

Each column in the chart represents a Recipient Type or Primary Subject category, as indicated in the horizontal, or X, axis. The length of each column in the chart corresponds to a total grant amount, as indicated in the vertical, or Y, axis. The total grant amount, total number of recipients, and total number of grants represented in the chart appear above the chart. The total grant amount, total number of recipients, and total number of grants represented in the chart for each Recipient Type or Primary Subject category can be viewed by moving your mouse over any column in the chart.

A table below the chart displays an aggregated list of the grants represented in the chart in four columns: Recipient Type or Primary Subject; Amount; Recipient Count; and Grant Count. The default sort order displays the list by Amount from highest to lowest. You can re-sort the list by clicking a column heading. Clicking Recipient Type or Primary Subject, for example, will sort the list by recipient type or primary subject from A to Z. Clicking a second time will change the display to descending order. A small arrow will appear within the column heading of the column that has been sorted, pointing up or down to indicate the order in which the information is being displayed.

Click on a column in the chart or on a category in the table below the chart to chart the distribution of recently awarded grants specific to a particular category. This process can be repeated a second time to chart the distribution of recently awarded grants specific to a particular secondary category. To return to the secondary category chart or primary category chart, click the appropriate link located above the chart view options or at the bottom of the page. For tertiary category charts, click on a column in the chart or on a category in the table below the chart to view a list of grant recipients specific to a particular tertiary category.
