Search Screens
Basic subscribers have access to the Search Grantmakers Screen. Plus, Premium, and Platinum subscribers have access to the Search Grantmakers Screen and the Search Grants Screen. Professional subscribers have access to the Search Grantmakers Screen, the Search Grants Screen, the Search Companies Screen, the Search 990s Screen, and the Grantmaker-Specific Search Grants Screen.
The Search Grantmakers Screen is used to search for grantmaker records. The Search Grants Screen is used to search for records of recently awarded grants. The Search Companies Screen is used to search for company records. The Search 990s Screen is used to search for IRS Forms 990 and 990-PF recently filed by private foundations and public charities in our database. The Grantmaker-Specific Search Grants Screen is used to search for records of recently awarded grants specific to a particular grantmaker.
You can link between search screens by clicking on the appropriate tab at the top of the page. For example, if you are searching with the Search Grants Screen and wish to conduct a grantmaker search, click the Search Grantmakers tab.
The Search Grantmakers, Search Companies, Search Grants, and Grantmaker-Specific Search Grants screens have three major parts: the Search Fields and Index Links; the Index Pane; and the Sort Control. The Search 990s Screen has Search Fields only.

To load the criteria of a saved search, click the Saved Searches link above the search fields. In the pop-up window that appears, click on the name of a search to load its criteria. The Saved Searches link is not available on the Grantmaker-Specific Search Grants Screen.
To load the criteria of your last search, click the Last Search link above the search fields.
To clear your search criteria, click the Clear button beneath the search fields.
Located on the left of each search screen except Search 990s, the Index Pane lists all of the entries in a selected index. For very large indexes, entries are grouped together alphabetically. The letters of the alphabet displayed at the top of the Index Pane provide access to their corresponding group of entries. Clicking on an entry in the Index Pane automatically inserts it into the corresponding search field.
